Embraer received its first order at the 2019 Paris Air Show from United Airlines, as the Chicago-based airline ordered up to 39 E175 regional jets. The deal includes 20 firm orders and 19 options. The aircraft which currently operate for United Express are configured with 76 seats in a dual-class configuration.
According to Anne Correa, mba’s vice president of airline and airport services, “United’s regional operations are integral to its business, offering customers more options to smaller cities that cannot be provided economically with mainline aircraft. In 2019, 70-seat aircraft operated on over 500 different route pairs for United, an increase of 16.8% over the last five years.”
