Vallair and the Ukrainian charter airline Windrose have signed a leasing agreement for eighteen months for the acquisition of an Airbus A321.
The leased airplane is part of a group of six A320 family jets that the airplane trading, leasing and specialist MRO organization Vallair has acquired for short term leasing purposes.
Head of Trading & Leasing Business Unit at Vallair, Anca Mihalache, has confirmed the company’s focus point being developing its leasing unit. Vallair leased one airplane in 2017 but has already increased this number to five for 2018. Plans for the summer season include the lease of four additional aircraft.
Windrose’s fleet mainly consists of A320 family airplanes, regional E145 jets, and business aircraft. The airline has focused on amending fleet in order to maintain flexibility and provide high quality, modern aircraft. Furthermore, the fleet developments strategy provides the opportunity of using a single platform for different operations in order to minimize costs and maintenance services.
