Novus Aviation Capital signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VietJet Air regarding the financing and leasing of ten Airbus A320 family aircraft, to be delivered by 2021. The Dubai-based lessor already owns five aircraft which are operated by VietJet.
According to Hani Kuzbari, managing director at Novus, his firm was drawn to the deal because Vietnam is a growing aviation market. To that end, VietJet’s latest financial report showed that its total revenue in the first quarter of 2019 jumped up 28% year-on-year.
At present, the Vietnamese carrier’s fleet includes 65 Airbus A320 family aircraft, according to mba’s REDBOOK.
