Vietjet released its audited financial statement for 2018, showing that the airline missed its profitability target set at the beginning of 2017.
During the year, Vietjet reported pre-tax profits of about $250 million USD, falling short of its $336 million USD goal. That goal had been set in 2017 when the airline listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange.
In 2018, Vietjet led its domestic market. It operated more than 118,000 flights on 105 routes: 66 international and 39 domestic. The airline’s 23 million passengers amounted to a load factor of about 88%. 84.2% of its flights performed on-time.
