Vietjet is beginning a significant fleet expansion strategy and has announced the order of 100 Boeing 737 MAXs.
The carrier has proven its dedication to grow and expand as an innovative and modern operator and the additional purchase of 100 Boeing 737 MAXs only reinforces the statement. With the recent announcement the carrier’s total MAX order book reaches 200 aircraft.
The deal is worth $12.7 billion and was witnessed by U.S. President Donald Trump and Vietnamese Communist Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong. The full order comprises of 20 MAX 8s and 80 MAX 10s. The Boeing 737 MAX 10 aircraft are reviewed as the market’s most profitable airplanes available to operators.
With the recent order of Vietjet the carrier has now officially become the largest Asian client for the 737 MAX 10. The aircraft will be used on services through Vietnam and Asia. Madam Nguyễn Thị Phương Thảo, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vietjet, shared that the acquisition will help the carrier maintain its international flight network and make additional improvements.
